The EmPOvia47 Foundation is a youth-led, non-profit movement dedicated to empowering young people, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable transformation across Kenya’s 47 counties. Our name defines our purpose. “EmPOvia” stands for a Pathway to Empowerment, equipping youth with the skills, mentorship, and resources to turn potential into progress, while the “47” represents our unwavering commitment to national inclusivity, ensuring that no county or community is left behind. We believe that meaningful development begins when opportunity meets purpose, and that empowering youth is the most powerful investment in Kenya’s future.
In partnership with government agencies, development partners, parastatals, and private sector organizations, we design and implement programs aligned with Kenya’s Vision 2030, the Africa Agenda 2063, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our work focuses on three pillars: Empowerment, Innovation, and Inclusion — to create scalable, youth-driven solutions that address unemployment, digital inequality, and social resilience. Together, we are building a brighter, more equitable Kenya county by county, youth by youth.
